SaMoTer Day
On 26th March CECE’s Exhibition Partner SaMoTer hosted the 5th edition of the SaMoTer Day, an event focusing on trends and opportunities for building and construction equipment sector in Italy and worldwide.
The event offered a chance for companies, industry associations and stakeholders to meet and discuss market data, trends and innovations that will be presented during SaMoTer 2020, the 31st international construction equipment trade fair taking place at Veronafiere on 21- 25 March 2020.
During his opening speech, CECE President Enrico Prandini emphasised the relevance of the fair at national level in Italy and underlined the importance of cooperation among industry associations in order to boost market growth and serve citizens across Europe and the world.
CECE Secretary General Riccardo Viaggi introduced the CECE Elections Manifesto, highlighting the importance for EU candidates to support the industry and the construction equipment sector over the next five years, as challenges can only be tackled with a joint effort between industry and EU institutions. He also stressed that European manufacturing needs an ambitious industrial policy strategy, based on fair competition, reciprocity and openness.
Prometeia, an observatory on current building and construction equipment scenario, presented the results of their analysis on market trends, realised for SaMoTer Outlook 2019. Despite the signs of a slowdown spread across all sectors detected so far in 2019, mainly caused by the deterioration of the overall economic situation, the recovery in construction investments will strengthen as of 2020-2021, thanks to the expected re-launching of public investments.
