CECE technical experts meet for first 2019 meeting

From 11th to 14th March CECE held its first technical meeting of the year. The so-called “technical week” takes place in Brussels every quarter and gathers all the technical experts nominated by CECE members to work in the 6 active Project Teams and in CECE’s Technical Commission.

During the Technical Commission’s meeting on 14th March, some of the topics included the revision of the Machinery Directive in the light of challenges of new technologies. Our partner association Orgalim made a presentation about their take on Artificial Intelligence, including a definition, the boundaries of its current use and why the Machinery Directive is fit for purpose.

Next week a delegation of the CECE Technical Commission will participate in the 29th JTLM (Joint Technical Liaison Meeting) that will take place in Innsbruck next 3rd to 5th April. During this meeting international representatives of construction machinery associations will exchange on the most relevant technical files.
