António Biason

António Biason is a Legal and Policy Officer in the Data Policy and Innovation Unit of the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) of the European Commission.

Biason actively participated in the negotiation and implementation of the Data Governance Act and the Data Act and is contributing to the deployment of Common European Data Spaces. Prior to his current role, he acted as policy officer for digital and telecom affairs at the Permanent Representation of Portugal to the EU in the context of the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Biason holds a bachelor's degree in politics and international relations and a master's degree in international and European law.
