Jose Antonio Nieto

Jose Antonio Nieto, 54 years old, is Aeronautical Engineer by Polytechnic University of Madrid, MBA and PADE executive program at IESE. Jose Antonio is the current Putzmeister Iberica CEO and head of the Underground business unit of the Putzmeister group.

His professional career has been developed around construction machinery starting at the after-sales service in a construction company. In 1999 he joined Putzmeister as head of Service, continued as developing machinery as technical director and COO (including some registered patents) and since 2007 he is leading the Spanish subsidiary of the Putzmeister Group as well as growing the underground business unit for tunneling and mining within the group.

After the 2008 crisis he had to turnaround the Spanish affiliate business from local construction machinery sales to international own underground product sales. Nowadays Putzmeister has an underground business unit serving the tunnelling and mining customers all over the world.
