Final hurdles being cleared in the engine exhaust emissions file

BRUSSELS – the so-called trilogue negotiators of the European Council and the European Parliament have reportedly reached an agreement on all remaining points in the new â€™stage V’ engine emissions legislation for non-road mobile machinery. Chromium VI compounds – authorization deadline passed

BRUSSELS -- On 18 April 2013 Chromium trioxide (CrO3) and some other Chromium VI compounds were included in REACH annex XIV. It means that these substances cannot be placed on the market or used after a given date, unless an authorisation is granted for their specific use.
